What is a Retractable Screen Door?
A door that retracts into a protective housing instead of sliding out of the way. A retractable screen can be installed with any type of door (a hinged or sliding door) and can be a solution for installing a screen on a front door as it is invisible when not in use.
How Do I Choose a Retractable Screen Door?
Choose one based on size and custom options. The Milano 100 is perfect for many door openings and can be customized to many sizes and with specialty mesh and frame colors. The Genius COOL screen door can fit stock-size door openings: it doesn’t have customizations available. However, it can be installed within 30 minutes with just a power screwdriver.
For Wider Door Openings
The Milano 200 is designed for French doors or wider door openings. For even wider openings the Olympic or Sierra which are pull-down doors might be best, or the ZIGZAG 1 or ZIGZAG 2 which can fit accordion door openings.

Outstanding Product
Very pleased with the craftsmanship, quality and function of this screen door.

Great option for traditional screen door
I have not had one of these retractable screen doors before but it really is a great option for a traditional screen door. Its compact, doesn't block the view when its closed, and is cheaper than a traditional screen door. The quality was very good and the fit was perfect.

Easy Install and Perfect Fit but Not Good for Pets
We have two cats and a dog. One cat took about 15 minutes to figure out they could slap at the door and it will pop open. We propped it closed and then they pushed through the screen at the bottom. Otherwise very pleased.

Works as described
Easy to measure & order. Arrives well packaged. Can be installed within 30 minutes without fuss. As noted by other reviews, it does take a few minutes to understand and change if needed, the left/right pull configuration, but it isn't rocket science. I will note it is not animal friendly. While the magnetic seam makes a secure hold, it isn't strong enough to withstand pets (or animals from the outside) from opening the screen. If they don't open the door, small animals like cats, can push their way under the screen as well. A physical latch and something to hold the screen in the lower track might do the trick.

The installation went very well. The fit is almost too tight, so you might want to deduct 1/8-1/4" from your measurements.We love the retractable screen door and it works perfectly. Very Happy Customers

Good quality / price
Overall satisfied, but the directions could have been clearer. Perfect match to the color of our door and its great to be able to have both sides of the French door open with no bugs flying in.

Works Great, Looks Great
The retractable screen door came custom sized to my measurements. No cutting was needed, but I did have to shim around the frame to securely fit the retractable screen door into my not so perfectly square door frame. I did also have to convert the screen door from a right pull to a left pull (easier said than done). So far it works great.

Genius Roller Screen Door
Very happy with the roller screen door for my shed/studio. Took about an hour to install. Directions were clear, but included some steps that I didn't need to take, like cutting the bottom and top rails to size. They arrived the correct size. Also the directions on installing and securing the threshold protective "ramps" for the bottom track were not clear, if they were included at all, had to pretty much figure that out on my own. All in all easy enough if you're handy, good customer service and great product overall. Would recommend
