Product Overview
The Classic Sliding Patio Screen Door Kit is cut to the size you specify and all door hardware is installed, including the handle and rollers. The screen mesh, spline, and a roller tool is also included. Simply assemble the screen door and then roll in the screen mesh. This custom sliding screen door is made of extruded aluminum which is sturdier than most standard, jam-prone, roll-form doors. It also comes with adjustable steel rollers for smooth sliding, and a pull handle with lock for secure closure.
Our door locks are designed to fit doors installed on the OUTSIDE of your house. Allow 1/8" manufacturing tolerance. Optional coastal package makes this door ideal for coastal areas where corrosion and rust may occur.

How Do You Make a Screen Door?
With a DIY screen door kit. A kit is an easy way to get a high-quality door at an affordable price. All parts for assembly are included and it can be put together within minutes. Instructions are included. However, if you have any questions, you can always call us and our team can help!
How Do I Know What Size Screen Door to Buy?
Measure your old door or the door opening. If your old screen door is the correct size and isn’t damaged, you can measure it to get the correct size measurements for the replacement sliding screen door. If the original door is unavailable, measure the opening of your doorway using one of the two methods below:
- Option A: Measure from top of bottom track up ¼ inch into the top U channel.
- Option B: Measure from tip of track to tip of track and add ⅛ of an inch to overall height

Great product!
We opted for the classic sliding screen door after living with the type of doors purchased from the Big Box stores. The quality is superior in every aspect: larger dimensional, thicker wall extrusion for the frame, steel ball bearing wheels allowing 4-corner adjustment, perfect miters at the corners, splines that accurately fit the channels and quality, durable screen. The instructions for measurements proved exact and the shipping was fast. These doors should provide many years of trouble-free service. The customer service is excellent.

Easy to put together
This my second unassembled Classic Sliding Screen Door. They are easy to put together and install. Just wish they came in hunter green. But in addition to being easy to build they are easy to paint with a can of spray paint.

Screen door
I recently purchased a new slinding screen door to install and though my measurment was off I was still able to get it in. I found it easy to assemble the product and it still worked out. I am very pleased with it and would certainly buy another one.

Clean Lines / Very good materials
Not easy to wax poetic about screen door aesthetics. Very well constructed materials, including the large durable adjustable rollers. Easy door assembly. Good fit on the corners. If your screen is nearly worn out, your rollers are stubborn and you have basic tool skills, rather than set an appt. and supervise the screen and roller installer, Metro Screenworks is the way to go. Similar price and you have a new frame. Bob

Great Product and Customer Support
The door I received was exactly the size I ordered. The frame is sturdy and the door was easy to assemble. There is also an instruction video to help with the assembly. The mesh I received was defective but customer service promptly shipped me a new mesh to fix the problem. Would buy again!
