One side of our screened in Porch faces afternoon sun. One of our two cats is a fair skinned orange tabby who loves to lay out there. Unfortunately his ears get sunburned easily. I've read many places that fair skinned cats are prone to skin cancer so I decided to try this solar control screen material. It arrived quickly and was very easy for me to replace in the existing screen panels. It works well to reduce the solar energy, yet still allow a good view to the outside. It does seem to reduce the view from the outside, but that is good for better privacy. Our cat still enjoys laying out there as there's still enough sunshine to keep him warm. I would buy it again.

Just finished replacing all of my screens around the house, 90% on the west windows 80% on all of the others. Looks great works great. FYI I found that spraying the spline Groove with a soapy water mixture helps the rubber spline roll In much easier

I've used this solar screen to replace all of the screening on my house and on my motorhome. It provides a noticeable difference in the amount of light and heat coming through the windows. RVs can be particularly troublesome when trying to reduce the amount of heat that radiates in through the windows and this really helps. This screen also helps keep out insects like no-see-ums.
